If you choose our optional transportation, a friendly driver will pick you up from your Panama City lodging between 5:00–5:30 am and drive you 2.5–3 hours to the Port of Carti in a comfortable 4x4 SUV. For guests driving themselves, please contact us for detailed directions—only 4x4 vehicles are allowed in Guna Yala. Upon arrival, logistics at the port may seem unorganized, but the Kuna community has everything under control.

Board your lancha (boat) for the scenic 25–30 minute ride to your private over-water cabin on the island. Boats may stop at other islands to pick up or drop off guests, offering glimpses of authentic Kuna life.
