Uthina (Oudhna)
Oudhna is located in the heart of a fertile plain in a gently rolling region. Uthina (its ancient name) had a gigantic capitol raised above two floors of vaulted rooms still visible. It was among the largest temples in Roman Africa. Its vast, well-preserved amphitheater is partly dug into a hill. It could accommodate 16,000 spectators.

Thuburbo Majus
The ancient city of Thuburbo Majus was founded on the slope of a hill, surrounded by a splendid fertile valley landscape, long before North Africa was annexed to the Roman Empire.
However, it is its magnificent remains from the Roman era which make it one of the most beautiful archaeological sites in Tunisia.
