Awana Kancha
08:00am This morning we start our journey to Awanacancha, this is a weaving center with the aim of keeping traditional textile arts alive. Here you can see four members of the camelid family: llamas, alpacas, vicuñas, and guanacos. Alpacas have thick wool and it is the most used, while vicuñas are small and delicate and their fur is considered the finest. You can meet these four camelids, learn about the making of the different wools and natural dyeing techniques, and have the opportunity to see native weavers from different areas displaying their different styles of weaving and clothing.

Pisac
We continue our journey to the top of a zigzag path that leads to the ancient upper city of Pisac, whose mythical ruins stand in a spectacular location on a buttress ridge, with agricultural terraces, built by the ancient Incas, winding around the hill in graceful curves, and gorges on either side.
We take a short walk to the ancient city, where we explore its well-built stone dwellings and temples, and enjoy panoramic views up and down the river in the Urubamba Valley. The highly defensible site of Pisac guarded both the Valley and the high jungle pass to the northeast.

Archaeological Park Ollantaytambo
We continue to the splendid Inca ruins of Ollantaytambo. We will walk among the remains of this ancient gray and pink granite fortress, we will discover its ancient baths and we will go up to the enormous terraces that guard its temples on top of the hills. Then we will enjoy the opportunity to meet some of the local people who live in the nearby traditional village.
From Ollantaytambo we headed to our hotel in the Sacred Valley – Urubamba
