At Point Ruston Public Market, your guide will introduce the history of this revitalized waterfront, once home to the ASARCO smelter. Today, it’s a vibrant gathering place with shops, restaurants, and sweeping views of Puget Sound and Mount Rainier. This is where we’ll get comfortable on our bikes, go over safety basics, and begin our ride along the scenic Ruston Way waterfront.

This waterfront site honors the Chinese community that once lived here and reflects on the events of 1885, when residents were forcibly expelled from the city. Surrounded by views of Puget Sound, this stop offers both a powerful story and a moment to reflect.
