Memorial da Imigracao Judaica
The São Paulo Holocaust Memorial is a space for memory and reflection dedicated to preserving the history and lessons of the Holocaust. Inaugurated in November 2017, it's located on the top floor of the Jewish Immigration Memorial, in the old Bom Retiro synagogue, one of the most traditional neighborhoods of São Paulo's Jewish community.
The memorial features an interactive and audiovisual collection that includes photographs, videos, historical objects, and artistic installations. These elements sensitively and educationally narrate the horrors experienced by millions of Jews during World War II, promoting awareness about the dangers of antisemitism and intolerance.
Admission is free, by prior appointment, and offers an impactful experience that invites empathy, respect, and the appreciation of human rights.

The Jewish Museum of São Paulo (MUJ)
The Jewish Museum of São Paulo (MUJ) is an institution dedicated to preserving and disseminating Jewish history, culture, and traditions in Brazil, promoting dialogue within the contemporary Brazilian context.
The museum occupies the historic Beth-El Synagogue building, constructed between 1927 and 1932 in Byzantine style. Its seven sides symbolize the seven days of Creation and the seven branches of the menorah.
MUJ's collection comprises approximately 2,000 items, including objects, documents, photographs, and oral accounts that narrate the trajectory of the Jewish community in Brazil, from the arrival of the first immigrants to the present day.
The museum also offers interactive and educational exhibitions covering themes such as Jewish immigration, the Holocaust, and the contributions of Jews to Brazilian society. Additionally, it features a specialized library, gift shop, cafe, and spaces for events and cultural activities.

Sinagoga Beth-El
Here's the English translation of the description for the synagogue visits:
Exploring São Paulo's Historic Synagogues
During the Jewish tour of São Paulo, you'll have the opportunity to discover some of the city's most historic and representative synagogues. We'll visit several of these temples from the outside, observing their architectural facades and learning about their history and importance to the community.
Additionally, depending on availability on the day of the tour, it may be possible to visit the interior of an active synagogue. This provides a closer look at the spiritual and cultural atmosphere of the site. Please note that internal visits are subject to prior authorization and the synagogue's religious activity calendar.
This experience offers an authentic connection with São Paulo's rich Jewish heritage.
