Honfleur
Our journey begins with a seamless pick-up from Honfleur, where our experienced guide will meet you at the cruise port or at your hotel. Fully accessible for visitors with reduced mobility.
Based at the foot of the Normandy Bridge on the Seine Estuary and a stone’s throw from the historic town center, Honfleur’s cruise terminal has an exceptionally favorable location, making Honfleur a much-appreciated cruise stopover.
During World War II, Honfleur, located near the mouth of the Seine River, played a supportive role after the D-Day landings on June 6, 1944. While not a direct landing site, its port and location were strategically important for logistical support. Supplies, reinforcements, and equipment moved through the area to aid advancing Allied forces. Honfleur was eventually liberated as part of the broader campaign to secure Normandy and push back German forces. As we depart from Honfleur, your guide will provide a brief introduction to the significance of the region.

La Cambe German War Cemetery
At the German Cemetery, you'll encounter a different perspective on the events that unfolded during D-Day. Nestled amidst serene landscapes, this solemn resting place bears witness to the sacrifices made on both sides of the conflict. Marked by neatly arranged gravestones, it serves as a poignant reminder of the toll exacted by war.

The Pointe Du Hoc
At the rugged cliffs of Pointe du Hoc, visitors are immediately transported to a pivotal moment during the D-Day landings of World War II. This prominent headland situated between Utah and Omaha Beach was a strategic German defense post with fortified positions, including artillery batteries, that threatened Allied forces. On June 6, 1944, U.S. Army Rangers bravely scaled these 100-foot cliffs under intense enemy fire to neutralize the position, a feat of courage that played a crucial role in the success of the Normandy invasion. Today, the site stands as a testament to their bravery, with bomb craters, destroyed bunkers, and a monument honoring the Rangers' sacrifices. As you walk among the ruins, the weight of history is palpable, offering a deep and humbling reflection on the monumental events that took place here.
