Prague’s Castle District is the largest fortress in the world, 130 meters long and covering 70,000 square meters. Prague Castle is not just a single building, but a whole fortified district, perched on top of a hill, with just three gateways. Inside, visitors can admire a variety of buildings, towers, churches, gardens and museums, built in almost all the styles of the last thousand years, which attract 1,800,000 tourists a year.

Prague’s Old Town Square is one of the most famous squares in Europe. It is located in the heart of the Old Town, in the market district, which until the end of the 18th century, like all the other districts of Prague, was considered a self-sufficient “town”, with its own town hall and walls.

Charles Bridge in Prague is one of the finest masterworks of Gothic civil engineering. The bridge was built on the orders of Charles IV, the king who made fourteenth-century Prague one of the most beautiful cities in the world, and the task was entrusted to the German architect Peter Parler, who also designed the St Vitus Cathedral.

Malà Strana, the “lesser town” of Prague, on the steep left bank of the Vltava River. Malà Strana starts out from the end of Charles Bridge and runs along the steep, narrow strip of hills between the Vltava and the Castle. The visitor has the impression that nothing has been built here since the 18th century: Baroque decorations, sophisticated details, centuries-old signs and antique shops all contribute to the extraordinary elegance of the neighborhood.

The “Dancing House” is a surprising masterpiece of contemporary architecture in the heart of Prague. The “house” is in the New Town, a district with Art Nouveau buildings (or Secese, as the movement is known here), featuring a continuous variety of solutions and decorations, in keeping with Prague’s tradition as a city that welcomes innovation in architecture and town planning.

Wenceslas Square is more like an avenue than a square: it’s 750 meters long, with a width of 63 meters at the top end and 48 meters at the bottom end.
