Grottes préhistoriques de Mitla
Our adventure begins in the center of Oaxaca with a 1 h 20 min panoramic tour of picturesque towns and views of the Tlacolula Valley. We will arrive at the Prehistoric Caves of Mitla, in San Pablo Villa de Mitla, a UNESCO World Heritage site sheltered by the community. A local guide will take us on an easy 1.5 h hike to explore caves and ancient cave paintings. Then we will travel 20 min to Tlacolula Market to taste typical food with vegan and vegetarian options (50–60 min). Our last stop will be with a Zapotec family who will share their culture and textile art with wool dyed with natural dyes and woven on a pedal loom (1 h). We will return to Oaxaca in 40 min.
