Inuyama Castle
Inuyama Castle, located in Inuyama City, Aichi Prefecture, sits on a 40-meter-high bluff south of the Kiso River. It is a hilltop-flatland castle and is Japan’s oldest surviving wooden castle keep, designated as a National Treasure. It is one of only twelve original castles in Japan and is among the “Four Great National Treasure Castles” alongside Himeji Castle, Matsumoto Castle, and Hikone Castle.
