A narrow canal that cuts through the Isthmus of Corinth, connecting the Aegean Sea with the Ionian Sea. Completed in 1893, it allows ships to avoid sailing around the Peloponnese. The canal is about 6.4 km long with steep cliffs nearly 90 m high, making it a popular quick stop for photos on Peloponnese tours.

- Monastery of Pantanassa
Founded in 1428.
It is the only monastery in Mystras still inhabited today by nuns.
