Taipei Grand Mosque
Taipei Grand Mosque is the largest and most important Islamic place of worship in Taiwan. Located near Da’an Forest Park, it was built in 1960 and designed by a Chinese Muslim architect. The mosque combines traditional Islamic design with modern architectural elements, making it not only a religious center but also a cultural landmark in Taipei.
The mosque can accommodate more than 1,000 worshippers and serves as the spiritual home for Taiwan’s Muslim community. Inside, you’ll find beautifully decorated prayer halls, while outside the building’s elegant domes and minarets reflect classic Middle Eastern styles.

Mémorial de Chiang Kai-Shek
Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall is one of Taipei’s most iconic landmarks. Built in 1980 to honor former President Chiang Kai-shek, the memorial sits within a large public square surrounded by beautiful gardens, ponds, and impressive traditional-style gates.
The main hall, with its white walls and blue-tiled roof, represents freedom, equality, and democracy. Inside, you’ll find a giant bronze statue of Chiang Kai-shek, where a solemn Changing of the Guard Ceremony takes place every hour, attracting many visitors.
