The Mullerthal Trail runs for kilometres and much of it is ordinary forest. This walk skips that. Your guide takes you only where the rock earns the time: the mossy corridors of the Siweschlëff labyrinth, the clifftop viewpoints above Berdorf, and a cave you climb into by ladder. He explains how the sandstone was quarried, worn and split into the shapes you stand in. Partway round, you stop on a rock terrace at the edge of the plateau. Your guide opens a bottle of champagne and lays out fruit, cheese and charcuterie while you sit above the treetops. Nobody hurries you.
