Abraham Lake’s famous Bubble Point is one of the most unique winter natural attractions in the Canadian Rockies. During the cold winter months, methane gas released from organic matter at the bottom of the lake becomes trapped beneath layers of crystal-clear ice, forming spectacular frozen bubbles that look like white discs suspended in time.

Lac Peyto
Our visit to Peyto Lake includes a short and easy hike through a beautiful alpine forest, surrounded by mountain scenery and fresh mountain air. The well-maintained trail leads us to a designated viewpoint overlooking one of the most famous lakes in Banff National Park.
From the viewing platform, you will enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view of Peyto Lake, renowned for its striking turquoise color and its unique wolf-shaped outline.
