In this experience, you’ll have the chance to leisurely enjoy Kyoto’s unique “evening-only” culture in a small group setting inside an authentic Kyoto machiya townhouse built over 100 years ago, located near Nijo Castle.
After check-in, we’ll provide an easy-to-understand introduction to the history of Japanese mochi-pounding and the tea ceremony.
Next, you’ll try authentic mochi-pounding using a traditional mortar and pestle. The mochi you make will be served fresh on the spot, allowing you to enjoy its warm, freshly made flavor.
