After an early pickup (around 7 AM), you'll paddle for around 1h across Lake Titicaca at 3,812 meters above sea level. The Andes form a rim around the water, and the morning light hits differently at this altitude—sharper, clearer.
Your route takes you through the Lake Titicaca National Reserve, where dense stands of totora reeds line the shoreline and create channels through the water. These reeds shelter ducks, herons, and egrets throughout the year, with flamingos appearing seasonally.
