1
Chambre des Loups
Câmara de Lobos the name of this Village comes from the fact that, at the time of the island’s discovery, there was a large number of monk seals in the cove, which can still be found here today in the same configuration. In this region, several monuments remain that refer to this historical period, from the chapel of Nossa Senhora da Conceição, founded in the 15th century, to the old convent of São Bernardino, from 1425, passing by the church of São Sebastião, built in the 16th century.
The landscape of this city is marked by the presence of characteristic fishing boats, known as "Xavelhas". Come with us to Câmara de Lobos! From this point we go up to the cliffs.

Plage de Faja Do Rancho
From the point view of Rancho on Câmara de Lobos we can see the beach of Fajã do Cabo Girão is one of the most special places on the south coast of Madeira Island. The exuberance of nature found in this narrow strip of land by the sea impresses any visitor.
The coastal plains of Madeira are known for their high fertility. However, access to these small coastal territories has always been a challenge, given the difficult task of overcoming the steep rock walls that protect them. This is the case of the Cabo Girão plain, which for a long time was only accessible on foot (often carrying goods on their backs).
