Begin your day at the site where agricultural innovation took root in what was Mandatory Palestine. This beautifully preserved heritage site protects one of Rehovot's earliest citrus orchards, planted in 1904 by First Aliyah pioneer Zalman Minkov.
Citrus growing would go on to become central to Rehovot's identity—and to the story of the famous Jaffa orange. Your guide will bring to life the vision and ingenuity of those early agricultural pioneers who transformed the land and built a thriving agricultural industry.

Fast-forward three decades to the stunning 1936 private residence of Dr. Chaim Weizmann, Israel's first President, and his wife Vera. Perched on a hill within the Weizmann Institute campus, the house is now a museum, preserved much as it was during the Weizmanns' lifetime.
After a short film about Weizmann's extraordinary life, tour the perfectly preserved home to see the man behind the statesman: the scientist whose work on acetone production during WWI helped the British war effort, and the visionary who became a driving force behind the establishment of the modern State of Israel.

Then, get hands-on at the Open-air Science Park, tackling interactive challenges.
Lunch follows at a lovely café next to the Weizmann Institute—a world-renowned centre for research in the natural and exact sciences, with groundbreaking work in fields from biology and medicine to physics and chemistry.
Enjoy an informative film in a state-of-the-art theatre (with a glass floor!), plus a range of interactive displays highlighting the different inventions and innovations that have been created at the Institute.

Your final stop takes you underground. The Ayalon Institute is a secret ammunition factory hidden beneath what appeared to be an ordinary kibbutz laundry. Established in 1945, the factory secretly produced millions of bullets for the Haganah, right under the noses of the British authorities. Workers entered through a bakery and descended into the underground factory, where they manufactured ammunition in complete secrecy.
Walking through those hidden tunnels, you'll realize just how much ingenuity and determination went into building the foundations of the future modern State of Israel.
