Arrival in Kigoma – Livingstone Memorial & Lake Tanganyika Sunset

Dr. David Livingstone Memorial Museum - Ujiji
Upon arrival at Kigoma Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our local representative and transferred to your hotel in Kigoma town.
Later in the day, begin your cultural and historical experience with a guided visit to the Dr. David Livingstone Memorial in Ujiji, the famous site where H.M. Stanley met Dr. Livingstone in 1871. Learn about their historic encounter, the role of Ujiji in early African exploration, and its significance along the shores of Lake Tanganyika.
After the historical tour, continue to the Lake Tanganyika beach, where you can relax and enjoy a peaceful sunset over one of the world’s deepest and oldest lakes. This is a perfect moment for photography and unwinding after your journey.
In the evening, transfer back to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay in Kigoma.
