Marina d'Hurghada
Hurghada Marina (often called Hurghada New Marina or New Marina Sakala) is a vibrant marina promenade and leisure destination located in the Sakala district of Hurghada. It stretches along the Red Sea coast next to a yacht harbor and offers a lively blend of dining, shopping and entertainment right by the water.
️ Marina & Waterfront
The marina centers on a harbor with around 200 berths for yachts and boats.
It’s a scenic place to stroll, relax, watch the boats, and enjoy sea breezes — especially in the evening and at sunset.
️ Restaurants, Cafes and Bars
Along the waterfront boulevard you’ll find 20+ restaurants, cafes, bars and lounges offering a range of international and local cuisine — from seafood to European and Asian dishes.

Mosquée El Mina Masjid
El Mina Mosque (also spelled Al Mina Mosque or El Mina Masjid) is a prominent and visually striking mosque located in the heart of Hurghada, Egypt. It’s known as the largest mosque in the Red Sea Governorate and a major religious center for the local Muslim community.
History & Architecture
The mosque’s modern building was completed in 2012, replacing an older structure first built in 1968.
It covers a large area of around 8,000 m² and can host thousands of worshippers.
El Mina is built with pure white marble and features traditional Islamic architectural design, including ornate domes, intricate geometric patterns and elaborate carvings.
The mosque’s twin minarets are about 40 meters tall, dominating the skyline near Hurghada’s marina area.
Inside, the prayer hall is beautifully adorned with chandeliers, decorative arches, carved walls and a large central dome (about 25 m high).

Hurghada fish market
The Fish Market in Hurghada (often called Hurghada Fish Market or سوق السمك الغردقة) is a traditional seafood market located near the city’s old marina area, close to the El Mina Mosque and the marina promenade in Sakala. It’s where fishermen bring their fresh catch from the Red Sea daily and sell it directly to locals, restaurants, and visitors.
What You’ll See and Experience
Fresh seafood galore: Expect an extensive variety of Red Sea fish and seafood — parrotfish, grouper, snapper, mullet, shrimp, calamari, crabs and more, with many species changing by season.
Livelihood in action: Local fishermen unload and display their daily catch here — it’s a great way to observe authentic coastal life in Hurghada.
Bustling atmosphere: The market has a very ‘local’ feel, with vendors, buyers and lots of activity — and yes, you’ll notice a strong ocean and fish aroma!

️ Visiting: Usually open daily; modest dress is recommended (women cover hair, shoulders, knees).
Atmosphere: Calm, spiritual, and welcoming for those interested in local Christian traditions.

Fruit Market
This is one of the main local markets in Hurghada where you’ll find a wide selection of fresh fruits and vegetables — from seasonal mangoes, oranges, bananas and melons to local tomatoes, cucumbers and greens. Like many traditional markets in Egypt, produce here tends to be fresh, often locally grown, and usually cheaper than supermarket prices, especially if you’re willing to haggle a bit.
What to expect:
Lots of colorful fruit stands and vegetable stalls showcasing seasonal produce.
Vendors selling directly to customers — often with friendly banter.
A more authentic, local shopping vibe compared with big grocery stores.
