Your professional tour guide will pick you up at your accommodation in Cusco between 4:00 and 4:30 a.m. to start this adventure.

After a private transportation trip of approximately 2 hours, we will arrive at Mollepata, where we will pause to enjoy a traditional breakfast. Here you can also buy water and snacks for the hike.

Soraypampa
We will continue the tour with a further 1 hour journey to Soraypampa, a stunning mountain plateau from where you can admire the majestic peaks of Apu Salkantay (6,230 meters above sea level) and Humantay mountain (5,250 meters above sea level).

Lac Humantay
Ascent of the Humantay Lagoon
Before starting the hike, you will prepare your backpack with what you need. The climb to the lagoon will take approximately 2 hours. Although the trail is steep, the group will be small and your guide will allow you to move at your own pace.

Once in the lagoon, you can admire its spectacular turquoise waters and the snowy surroundings. If you wish, you can take an additional short walk to get a panoramic view.

Descent and return to Mollepata
The descent will be much easier and will take about an hour to Soraypampa. From there, we will board private transportation back to Mollepata, where you will enjoy a buffet lunch with local dishes.

Cuzco
After lunch, we will take the journey back to Cusco. We will arrive between 5:00 and 6:00 p.m., making a final stop near the Plaza de Armas.
