After picking you up from your accommodation, we will take the highway directly to reach the great stage of Saint Jean de Luz! It will be approached by a walk on a hill overlooking this beautiful bay and offering breathtaking views. If walking is not for you, you can easily access a viewpoint with the van.

The city center tour includes the beach, pedestrian shopping streets, the fishing port and the sumptuous 17th-century houses. Your guide will reveal many themes: whaling, wealthy shipowners, the era of privateers, the marriage of Louis XIV, the reconquest of the city by Napoleon III, the development of tourism and the treasures of Art Deco.

From Saint Jean de Luz, we will follow a beautiful road to the foot of the mythical mountain of La Rhune. The varied landscapes and the fauna of the hinterland will not fail to enchant you.

On the way to Saint-Jean-de-Luz, we will stop at Sare, an isolated village at the foot of the Rhune, where the serene atmosphere contrasts with the heavy past of its border location.

We will head further inland to the Xareta Valley, where the kinship between the French and Spanish villages was conducive to smuggling.

Nearby is the charming village of Ainhoa, listed among the most beautiful villages in France, where your guide will introduce you to Basque culture and social organization. The theme of the Way of Saint James will also occupy an important place in this fortified town, created in the 13th century to colonize the population and serve as a stopover for pilgrims.

We will continue with a visit to Espelette, famous worldwide for its chilli pepper used by chefs around the world. The village is located on the border between the provinces of Labourd and Lower Navarre.
