2
Ningle Terrace
Step into a fairytale world at Ningle Terrace, a hidden gem tucked within a tranquil forest near Furano. This quaint village is made up of tiny log cabins, each cabin is a different artisan workshop. You’ll find handmade candles, wooden crafts, glass art, and more — all crafted with care by local artists. The forested setting and rustic architecture give the area a magical, storybook-like feel, making it a delightful spot for browsing unique souvenirs and enjoying a peaceful walk in nature.

3
Nakafurano Hokuseiyama Lavender Fields
Here, ride a scenic lift to the top of the hill for sweeping views of lavender fields stretching toward the Tokachidake Mountains. In summer, the gentle slopes are dyed in purple, with the fragrant blooms reaching their peak. This is one of the best spots in Furano to take in both the natural beauty and fresh mountain air from above.

4
Farm Tomita
Hokkaido’s most iconic flower field, Farm Tomita, is a sea of color in full bloom. Best known for its lavender, the farm also bursts with vibrant seasonal flowers arranged in stunning rows across rolling fields. Stroll through the fragrant gardens, enjoy lavender soft-serve ice cream, and visit the dried flower house or perfume workshop to see how the essence of lavender is captured and preserved (on your own expense).

Shirogane Blue Pond
Next is the mysterious Blue Pond in Biei, a captivating natural phenomenon known for its surreal blue hue. The color changes subtly with the light and season, creating a dreamlike scene with standing birch trees emerging from the turquoise water. It’s a must-see spot that feels like you’ve stepped into another world—perfect for photos and quiet reflection.

Shirahige Falls
Not far from the Blue Pond lies Shirahige Falls, or “White Beard Falls,” named for its foamy, white streams that cascade down the cliffs like a flowing beard. The falls emerge dramatically from beneath a volcanic rock surface and tumble into the Biei River below, surrounded by untouched natural forest. The contrast between the falls and the vivid blue of the river makes for a powerful visual experience.

Shikisai no Oka
Continue to Shikisai no Oka, a panoramic flower park that spans about 15 hectares of rolling hills, blanketed in flowers from spring through autumn. Here, fields of seasonal blossoms such as poppies, tulips, and sunflowers are arranged in artistic bands of color, creating a breathtaking landscape best appreciated from the hilltops.
