National Bighorn Sheep Center
Bighorn sheep can be viewed during winter months, but in case you miss a sighting your day trip includes a visit to the National Bighorn Sheep Center in Dubois, Wyoming. At this interpretive center, learn about Rocky Mountain bighorns, the largest wild sheep inhabiting North America, identifiable by their massive curled horns. You’ll make a lunch stop in Dubois, Wyoming at a local restaurant. After lunch, you will view Native American petroglyphs carved by the Shoshone Indians. Discover the spiritual significance of these 1,500-year-old rock drawings of animals other objects, created on stone surfaces using sharp rock tools and sacred to the Eastern Shoshone of the Wind River Reservation east of Jackson. Your 8-10 hour tour ends with a convenient hotel drop-off in Jackson Hole, Wyoming.
