The Tsunami Community Museum aims to educate tsunami communities and preserve the memory of the 2004 tsunami. This museum is a continuation of the efforts of Third Wave volunteers led by Dr. Alison Thompson (author of The Third Wave - A History of Volunteers and director of the movie The Third Wave). This museum will embark on a fascinating journey through the science and history of the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami.

Traditional masks have played an important role in Sri Lanka's culture and folklore for centuries. Used for both theatrical and ritual performances, these masks are carefully made by experienced craftsmen who have learned the art of their ancestors. The Ariyapala Mask Museum in Ambalangoda is a great way to learn and understand the masks making process unique to Sri Lanka. The museum has a workshop and a library specifically designed to represent the wealth of the Ambalangoda mask tradition.
