Sanctuaire Fushimi Inari-taisha
Explore the origins of Inari worship at the iconic Romon Gate, including the connection to the Hata clan and why Inari became associated with prosperity and business success. At the Main Shrine, your guide will demonstrate traditional Japanese prayer etiquette and explain the symbolism of the shrine’s vermilion colors and sacred architecture.
Walk through the illuminated tunnel of thousands of vermilion torii gates while learning about the tradition of dedicating torii to the shrine since the Edo period. Your guide will explain the inscriptions carved into the gates and the unique wish-making culture connected to Inari worship. Enjoy time for atmospheric nighttime photography.

Experience the famous Omokaru-ishi wishing stone, believed to reveal whether a wish will come true depending on how heavy it feels when lifted. Learn about the unique fox-shaped ema plaques and the spiritual role of foxes as messengers of Inari rather than gods themselves.

Fukakusa Kaidoguchicho
Climb deeper into Mt. Inari along lantern-lit stone paths surrounded by cedar forest. Reach Yotsutsuji intersection, approximately 160 meters above sea level, for panoramic night views over Kyoto and free photo time. Hear how Mt. Inari has long been regarded as a sacred mountain before descending along a different torii pathway.
Descend through the separate return lane of the Senbon Torii and pass the Main Shrine and Romon Gate once more while reflecting on the journey. The tour concludes at JR Inari Station (JR Nara Line), where your guide will provide directions back to Kyoto Station and assist with photo sharing or additional recommendations.
