Start your tour at the Acropolis, crowned by the Parthenon—the most celebrated monument of ancient Greece. Built in the 5th century BC under the leadership of Pericles and designed with the artistic genius of Pheidias, the Parthenon was dedicated to Athena, the city’s patron goddess. Its perfect proportions and exquisite sculptures embody the ideals of Athens’ golden age, reflecting the city’s triumph over the Persians, the birth of democracy, and its unmatched cultural achievements.

Stade panathénaïque
Continue to the Panathenaic Stadium, originally built in 330 BC for the Panathenaic Games and rebuilt in marble by Herodes Atticus in 144 AD to hold 60,000 spectators. Abandoned after the rise of Christianity, it was excavated in the 19th century and hosted the Zappas Olympics before being restored for the first modern Olympic Games in 1896. Today, it remains the only stadium in the world constructed entirely of marble.

Built between 1836 and 1843 by Bavarian architect Friedrich von Gärtner, it was the first major palace of modern Greece. Agora antique d'Athènes
Once the bustling heart of ancient Athens, the Agora served as a marketplace, meeting point, and political hub. Here, great minds such as Socrates, Sophocles, and Protagoras debated ideas, while citizens gathered to discuss and decide on matters of the city. Among its many shrines and public buildings stands the remarkably well-preserved Temple of Hephaestus, dedicated to the god of metalworking and Athena Ergane, patroness of crafts—constructed around the same time as the Parthenon.
