One of the most significant aspects of our private excursions of Ephesus is Ephesus Ancient City. With a population of about 250,000 during the Roman era, Ephesus was the third-largest city in the Roman Empire. Additionally, it served as Asia Minor's capital and economic hub. Latrines, the Temple of Hadrian, the Great Theater of Ephesus (the largest in Anatolia), the Library of Celsus (the third largest library in the ancient world), and more will be available for you to visit.

Meryemana (La Maison de la Vierge Marie)
In his final remarks before his execution, Jesus Christ gave his mother, Mary, to his apostle St. John since Jarusalem was no longer a secure place for her. John thought it safe to set the Virgin Mary on Bulbul Mountain, which is close to Ephesus. It is thought that the Virgin Mary passed away at this dwelling during her last years. Following the visits of Pope Paul VI in 1967, Pope John Paul II in 1979, and Pope Benedict XVI in 2006, the House of the Virgin Mary is now formally recognized as a destination of pilgrimage.

The Basilica of Saint John
The Gospel writer St. John stayed at Ephesus to care for the Virgin Mary and propagate Christianity after he constructed a home for her. Emperor Justinian constructed the Basilica of St. John in the sixth century under the name of St. John after Christianity was declared the official religion of Rome in the fourth century. The church also houses St. John's tomb.

Le temple d'Artémis
One of the seven wonders of antiquity, the Temple of Artemis was constructed in the sixth century BC. In the second century, the temple took on its present configuration. It was the biggest hub of paganism at the time because to its vastness. It may be visited even to feel the contemporary ambiance, even if now we can only see the basic construction, one column, and a few ruins.

Baie de Sirince
The area of Selcuk town, the fifth and last settlement of Ephesus, is home to Sirince, one of the most picturesque villages in Tukey's western region. The drive from the town of Selcuk takes around fifteen minutes. Beautiful scenery and stone homes greet you upon arrival, and the kind locals extend their welcome by giving you a drink. There are a lot of wine cellars and restaurants in Sirince where you may sample regional cuisine. More than ten varieties of handcrafted fruit wines are available for tasting and consumption.
