Basilica of Santa Maria Novella
The tour starts in one of the most fascinating squares of Florence, the beating heart of the city since the Middle Ages. Dominated by the majestic Basilica of Santa Maria Novella, this square harmoniously combines Renaissance elegance and contemporary liveliness. The facade of the church, designed DA Leon Battista Alberti, is one of the symbols of the Florentine Renaissance, with its perfect geometries and polychrome marbles. Here you can breathe an authentic atmosphere, among historic shops, cafes and period buildings. In the past, the square was the site of popular competitions and celebrations, and still represents a must-see for those who want to discover the true soul of Florence. DA here begins the journey to discover the artistic and architectural wonders of the city.

Finestra delle Belle Donne
During this stage we will discover one of the most fascinating curiosities of Florence: the “buchette del vino”, or Wine Windows. These are small stone windows set in palaces, through which, since the seventeenth century, the Florentine nobles sold wine directly to passers-by. During the plague, these openings allowed wine to be served safely, without direct contact — a surprisingly modern idea!
We will stop in front of one of these historic holes to tell the story and imagine life together in the Florence of the past.

Place de la Cathédrale
The spiritual and artistic heart of Florence, Piazza del Duomo is one of the most iconic places in the world. Here are three absolute masterpieces: the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, with its famous DA Brunelleschi dome; Giotto's elegant and slender Bell Tower, clad in coloured marble; and the Baptistery of San Giovanni, one of the oldest buildings in the city, famous for its gilded bronze doors. Every detail tells of the genius and grandeur of the Florentine Renaissance. Walking in this square means admiring centuries of art and architecture, surrounded by a beauty that leaves you breathless. It is here that you really feel the power and sophistication of the Medici Florence.

Place de la République
Piazza della Repubblica is the elegant and modern heart of Florence. Built on the ancient Roman Forum and then the city Point of Sale, the square is now a symbol of the nineteenth-century transformation of the city. Circus DAta with refined palaces, historic cafes and harmonious arcades, represents a perfect meeting of past and present. Here you will find iconic places such as Caffè Gilli and Caffè Paszkowski, where Florentine artists and writers have gathered for decades. In the center stands the Column of Abundance, which marks the intersection of the ancient Roman streets. Walking in this square you can breathe a lively but refined atmosphere, which tells the story of a city always evolving, capable of renewing itself without losing its soul.

Piazza della Signoria is the political and symbolic heart of Florence, a true open-air museum. Here stands the majestic Palazzo Vecchio, the historic seat of the Florentine government and still today the city hall. At its feet are sculptural masterpieces such as Michelangelo's copy of David, Neptune by Ammannati and the group of Perseus with the head of Medusa by Benvenuto Cellini, kept under the Loggia dei Lanzi. Every corner of the square recounts episodes of power, art and Renaissance passions. Even today, it is one of the most beloved places DA Florentines and visitors can breathe the grandeur and history of the Medici Florence, surrounded by a majestic and timeless atmosphere.

Vieux Pont
The Ponte Vecchio is one of the most beloved symbols of Florence and one of the most famous bridges in the world. Built in the 14th century, it is the only bridge in the city to have withstood the bombings of the Second World War. Along its arches overlook the historic goldsmith shops, which still retain the charm of the ancient medieval shops. Crossing it, you can admire the spectacular view of the Arno and the Vasari Corridor, the elevated passage that connected Palazzo Vecchio with Palazzo Pitti, once used by the Medici to move away from the people. Walking on the Ponte Vecchio means immersing yourself in a romantic and timeless atmosphere, between lights, golden reflections and the scent of Florentine history.
