Istana Negara is Malaysia’s National Palace. Its grounds are not open to the public, so the Main Palace Entrance is usually the spot where tourists take pictures. The National Mosque (Masjid Negara) was built in 1965, the same year Malaysia and Singapore separated. It is an iconic structure that symbolizes the Islamic faith in Malaysia and is one of the country's largest and most significant mosques.
