Upon arriving at the meeting point, you’ll meet your certified naturalist guide, who will provide rubber boots and a flashlight, along with a brief safety orientation. Once equipped, you’ll enter a private property near Drake Bay and begin a guided night walk along tropical rainforest trails.
For approximately 3 hours, you’ll move at a moderate pace while your guide pauses to help you observe and photograph reptiles, insects, spiders, frogs, and other nocturnal organisms. You’ll also learn how to identify wildlife through sounds, eye-shine reflections, and camouflage patterns, and you may spot sleeping birds near the river if conditions allow.
