Musée archéologique de Delphes
Delphi’s archaeological site is one of the most significant and atmospheric ancient sites in Greece. Nestled on the slopes of Mount Parnassus, it was once considered the center—or “navel”—of the ancient world. The site includes the famous Temple of Apollo, where the Oracle of Delphi delivered prophecies, as well as a well-preserved theatre, stadium, treasury buildings, and the Sacred Way, the main path that pilgrims followed. Surrounded by dramatic mountain scenery, Delphi was both a spiritual and political hub in antiquity, drawing visitors from across the Greek world. The adjacent Archaeological Museum of Delphi houses many of the site’s most important finds, including the celebrated Charioteer of Delphi.

Thermopylae
Thermopylae is a historic mountain pass in central Greece, most famous for the Battle of 480 BC, where King Leonidas of Sparta and his 300 warriors made a legendary last stand against the massive Persian army of Xerxes. The narrow pass, whose name means “Hot Gates,” was strategically crucial and bordered by natural hot springs still flowing today.
Near the site, you’ll find a small but modern museum—the Thermopylae Center for Historical Information. It features interactive exhibits, 3D films, and displays that recount the battle, Spartan society, and Persian tactics. Just across from it stands the Leonidas Monument, a striking bronze statue honoring the Spartan king and his heroic sacrifice.
