Near Mae Klong Station in Samut Songkhram Province, there is a railway market where shops selling vegetables, fruits, and other goods are crammed together alongside the tracks that are still in use. It is also known as Talat Rom Hub, or the “umbrella market” (ตลาดร่มหุบ).As the name suggests, vendors along the tracks fold up their tents and umbrellas when trains pass by (eight times a day) between Mae Klong and Ban Laem, then reopen their stalls once the trains have passed.
