Fuji faith and built a small Mt. Fuji (Fuji-zuka) in various parts of Tokyo. Climbing a small Mt. Fuji is said to bring the same benefits as climbing Mt. Fuji itself. On July 1st, Mt. Fuji opens to the public. On the same date, mountain opening ceremonies are also held at the small Mt. Fuji-s in Tokyo. Many small Mt. In the festival area of Mt. Fuji of Komagome are many stalls of Various traditional festival foods. You can have a brunch there at your own expense. The price of each dish ranges from 400 to 1000 JPY.

Look for the guide wearing a gold Kangol baseball cap at the south exit ticket gate of Uguisudani Station on the Yamanote Line.
Retour
Akihabara Station
The end point is Akihabara Station on the Yamonote Line. After visiting Mt. Fuji of Kami-Shinozaki, the tour will return to Akihabara Station around 8:00 p.m. via Koiwa Station on the Sobu Line. Participants can get off at any station between Koiwa and Akihabara.

Mt. Fuji of Shitaya
(We plan to visit here on June 30th and July 1st.) Mt. Fuji of Shitaya in Ono Terusaki Jinja Shrine was founded in 1828. It has been designated as a national important tangible folk cultural property and had been one of seven Mt. Fujis in Edo (old name of Tokyo). The mound is covered with lava stones brought from Mt. Fuji and it is hard to climb. You can climb only for two days a year, on June 30th and July 1st. In the precinct, the summer purification ritual of walking around the grass ring is set up during two days.
Only on June 30th, a religious ceremony to open the mountain is held, so we stay a little longer to see it.

Senju Shrine
Mt. Fuji of Senju
(We plan to visit here only on July 1st.) Mt. Fuji of Senju in Senju Jinja shrine was founded in 1923, but, due to the Great Kanto Earthquake, it was destroyed and rebuilt in 1936. You can climb only for once a year, on July 1st.
In 2025, 2027, and 2029, we will not visit here since we will go to Mt. Fuji of Kami-Shinozaki.

Komagome Fuji Shrine
Mt. Fuji of Komagome
(We plan to visit here on June 30th and July 1st.) It is said that Mt. Fuji of Komagome in Komagoe Fuji Jinja Shrine was built utilizing an ancient burial mound. In the 14th century, it was already called Mt. Fuji. Among many Fuji-zukas (Mt. Fuji Mound) in Tokyo. it is one of Fuji-zukas called as "O-Fuji-san" of honorific title. You can climb it all year round, but the mountain opening festival is held only on June 30th, July 1st, and July 2nd. It is one of the most fun mountain opening festivals with many stalls around Tokyo.
Each participant is free to eat lunch at stalls.

Kitamachisengen Shrine
Mt. Fiji of Simo-Nerima
(We plan to visit here only on June 30th.) Mt. Fuji of Simo-Nerima in Kitamachi Sengen Jinja Shrine was founded before mid-19th century. On July 1st, the ceremony is held.
In 2025, 2027, and 2029, we will not visit here since we will go to Mt. Fuji of Kami-Shinozaki.

Ekoda Sengen Shrine
Mt. Fuji of Ekoda
(We plan to visit here only on July 1st.) Mt. Fuji of Ekoda in Ekoda Sengen Jinja Shrine was founded in 1839 and has been designated as a national Important Tangible Folk Cultural Property. It retains the rugged atmosphere of lava typical of Mt. Fuji. You can climb it only three times on July 1st (the day of the mountain opening festival), the second weekend in September, and the first three days in January.

Tsukimigaoka Hachiman Shrine
Mt. Fuji of Kami-Ochiai
(We plan to visit here on June 30th and July 1st.) Mt. Fuji of Kami-Ochiai in Tsukimioka Hachiman Jinja Shrine was founded in 1790 but relocated in 1962 due to the construction of a nearby sewage treatment plant. You can climb it all year round. You need to ask the shrine office for permission to climb it.
In 2025, 2027, and 2029, we will not visit here since we will go to Mt. Fuji of Kami-Shinozaki.

Narukoten Shrine Fujizuka
Mt. Fuji of Naruko
(We plan to visit here only on June 30th.) Mt. Fuji of Naruko in Narukoten Jinja Shrine was founded in 1920. The mound is 12m high and one of the highest Fuji-zukas (Mt. Fuji Mound) in Tokyo. You can climb it all year round.

(We plan to visit here only on June 30th.) Mt. Fuji of Sendagaya in Hatomori Hachiman Jinja Shrine was founded in 1789. It has been designated as a prefectural important tangible folk cultural property and had been one of seven Mt. Fujis in Edo (old name of Tokyo). It retains the rugged atmosphere of lava typical of Mt. Fuji. You can climb it all year round.

Ikebukuro Fuji Asama Shrine
Mt. Fuji of Ikebukuro
(We plan to visit here only on July 1st.) Mt. Fuji of Ikebukuro in Ikebukuro Hikawa Jinja Shrine was founded in 1912. The density of the stone monuments donated by devotees is high. You can climb only two days a year on July 1st and the first Sunday of July. During two days, a morning glory market is also held. In case of rain, this shrine tends to cancel the climb.

Fuji of Jujo in Jujo Fuji Jinja Shrine was founded before 1840, and relocated recently due to road widening construction, causing a change in appearance. It has been designated as a prefectural important tangible folk cultural property and had been one of seven Mt. Fujis in Edo (old name of Tokyo). You can climb it all year round, but the mountain opening festival is held only on June 30th, July 1st. It is the biggest mountain opening festivals with many stalls around Tokyo.

Shinozaki Sengen Shrine
Mt. Fuji of Kami-Shinozaki
(We may visit here on the tour on June 30th and July 1st in 2025, 2027, 2029.) The history of Mt. Fuji of Kami-Shinozaki in Shinozaki Sengen Jinja Shrine is not clear, but it has many historical stone monuments on the mound. During the three days of the mountain opening festival, 10 huge flags are set up once every two years, creating a very impressive sight. In the festival, many stalls are lined up at the festival. That is very fun.
