We will be meeting in Mexico City to travel west to the State of México which is an approximate of an hour and a half away.
Thirty minutes before arrival to Villa del Carbon, we will begin to enjoy of the beautiful views that this small town offers as its located in a forest. Founded in 1713, developed slowly and home for indigenous Otomi people who now live close by their lake. We will walk around this magical town to see the main square and their markets which will let us sample the delicious local food.
We then travel to the lake of Taxhimay which currently holds in it depth the town of San Luis de las Peras. We will learn why the town was flooded and how the indigenous people adapted...

Your tour guide will show you around Villa del Carbon, which is one of the considered Magical towns found around México. You will be shared the history of this place while you make your way to the local market to try some of the delicious found made by locals.

Presa Taxhimay
We will drive to Lago de Taxhimay to know more about the indigenous community and why the goverment decided to flood their town against their interest, eat some fish that they collect themselves and ride over the lake that holds this old town. All these activities support the communities we visit.
