Amazu Shrine
Amatsu Shrine is a peaceful and historic Shinto shrine nestled in the pottery town of Imbe, Bizen. Revered by local artisans for centuries, it is said that Bizen potters would pray here for successful firings and give thanks to the fire gods. With its mossy steps, stone lanterns, and ancient trees, this quiet spot offers a spiritual glimpse into the heart of traditional Japanese craftsmanship.
After visiting the shrine, we’ll stroll through Imbe’s Bizen Pottery Street, where you’ll discover small galleries and shops featuring a variety of unique styles. If you share your preferences, I’ll be happy to introduce you to specific studios or artists that match your taste—there may be a perfect piece waiting to be found.
