This Bison Reserve is the largest reserve in Romania, with the purpose to protect the species and repopulate Romanian forests with bison. The bison is the largest land animal on the European continent, has a massive and strong body, reaching at maturity a weight of 800-1000 kg. At the end of 1800 the Bison was almost extinct from Europe. Now, they restarted to run free into the wilderness due to the protection programs that takes place in several locations in Romania.

Located on a small island outside Bucharest, Snagov Church is one of the most important religious monuments in Southern Romania.
