Banteay Srei Temple Finest stone carvings in all of Angkor, incredibly detailed and well preserved Built from rare pink sandstone, glowing beautifully in sunlight Intimate scale makes details easy to admire up close Known as the “jewel of Khmer art” and a must-see for culture lovers
Banteay Srei Temple is a 10th-century Khmer masterpiece, famous for its exquisite pink sandstone carvings and fine details. Often called the “Citadel of Women,” it showcases some of the most beautiful and well-preserved stone art in Angkor, set in a peaceful countryside location north of Siem Reap
Set in a peaceful rural landscape about 30 km northeast of Siem Reap, the compact size of Banteay Srei allows visitors to admire its decorations up close, revealing a level of craftsmanship unmatched anywhere else in Angkor. The harmonious proportions, rich symbolism, and warm stone color make Banteay Srei not only a historical treasure but also a deeply memorable cultural experience—especially for those who appreciate art, history, and fine detail.

Beng Mealea
Beng Melea Temple is a vast and atmospheric 12th-century Angkorian temple, believed to have been built during the reign of King Suryavarman II, the same period as Angkor Wat. Located about 70 km east of Siem Reap, it was once an important religious complex and is constructed in a similar architectural style, though on a slightly smaller scale.
Unlike many temples in Angkor, Beng Melea has been left largely unrestored, allowing nature to reclaim much of the site. Massive sandstone blocks lie scattered across the ground, towers have collapsed inward, and giant tree roots entwine with walls and galleries, creating a dramatic jungle-temple atmosphere. Wooden walkways guide visitors safely through the ruins while preserving its raw, untouched character.
