The Roman Amphitheater in Amman is one of Jordan’s most remarkable and popular landmarks. This grand structure, dating back to the 2nd century AD, could once seat up to 6,000 spectators and remains a stunning example of Roman architecture. From the upper tiers, visitors can enjoy breathtaking views over downtown Amman. Its impressive design and historical charm have made it a featured location in numerous films and commercials. A visit to Amman simply wouldn’t be complete without experiencing this iconic site.

Al Balad – Centre-ville d'Amman
After exploring the Roman Amphitheater, your driver will take you on a scenic car tour through Downtown Amman, where you’ll experience the charm of the city’s old streets and bustling souks. You’ll pass by the Grand Al-Hussein Mosque, built in 1923 and considered the oldest mosque in Jordan.
As you continue your drive, you’ll see Habiba Sweets, one of Amman’s most famous and long-standing pastry shops, known for its delicious Jordanian dessert, Kunafa. Nearby, you’ll also pass Hashem Restaurant, a beloved local spot serving traditional dishes such as hummus, foul, and falafel—a true staple of Jordanian cuisine and one of the city’s oldest eateries.
The entire car tour takes approximately 20 to 30 minutes, depending on traffic conditions.

Your driver will then continue to Rainbow Street, where you’ll have time to stop and take some photos.
Originally named Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq Street, Rainbow Street is one of Amman’s most famous and vibrant areas, located in the historic Jabal Amman district near the city center. The street stretches from the First Circle to Mango Street and is lined with charming cafés, rooftop restaurants, boutiques, and pubs, making it a favorite spot for both locals and visitors to relax and enjoy the city’s lively atmosphere.

Mosquée du roi Abdallah
Your driver will then take you to the King Abdullah I Mosque, the only mosque in Jordan specifically designed to welcome tourists. Built in the 1980s, this beautiful landmark can accommodate over 3,000 worshippers and is one of Amman’s most recognizable symbols.
The mosque’s striking blue dome and twin minarets make it stand out among the city’s skyline, blending modern design with traditional Islamic architecture. Inside, you’ll find a peaceful atmosphere and intricate decorations that reflect Jordan’s spiritual heritage.
Don’t worry about dress requirements — there’s a designated room where visitors can borrow appropriate clothing to ensure modest attire during the visit. The entrance fee is 2 JD, and men and women enter separately during visiting hours.

Next, head to the Royal Automobile Museum, located in Al-Hussein Public Gardens.
