Grotte d'Agia Sofia
On the way to Elafonissi, just after Topolia village, we pass through the narrow Topolia tunnel. Near the exit, high on the mountainside, lies the impressive Agia Sofia Cave, marked by its distinctive metallic star.
Guests who wish may stop and visit the cave. Please note that reaching the cave requires climbing a long flight of steps and is not wheelchair accessible. For wheelchair users, this can be a scenic stop, and the itinerary can be adjusted according to the group’s needs.

Plage d'Elafonissi
Elafonissi is a protected Natura 2000 area, famous for its turquoise lagoon, white and pink-tinted sand and shallow waters. Enjoy 3 hours to swim, relax and explore this unique natural setting. To protect the dunes, general vehicle access to the beach is restricted and visitors normally continue from designated parking areas on foot. For guests with reduced mobility, a local mobility service provides closer access to the lagoon. Please inform us when booking so we can assist with the arrangements.

Monastère de Chrysoskalitissa
Chrysoskalitissa Monastery is a historic Orthodox monastery dramatically built on a rocky hill overlooking the Libyan Sea, just a short distance from Elafonissi. According to local tradition, its name means “Our Lady of the Golden Step”, referring to a legendary golden step said to be visible only to the truly faithful. Guests may visit the monastery and enjoy the beautiful coastal views. Please note that access to the upper monastery involves climbing a considerable number of steps and is not wheelchair accessible.

On our return from Elafonissi, we stop at Elos, a traditional mountain village surrounded by chestnut and plane trees. Enjoy a relaxing break in its shaded village centre, where you can have a coffee, a refreshing drink or taste traditional Cretan food at one of the local tavernas. Elos offers a peaceful glimpse of authentic rural Crete and is especially known for its chestnut-growing tradition.
