Acatenango Base Camp Area
Your basecamp will be in cozy, double-walled wooden cabins with polycarbonate windows allowing you wonderful views.
Camp: Features 2 cabins that each accommodate up to 12 hikers with single bunks. Shared-cabins have a lively and social environment. There is no electricity or running water at basecamp, but we provide the best amenities possible at high altitude.
Toilet Facilities: The base camp has one basic toilet, and though it’s not luxurious, it’s the most practical solution available at 3,600 meters. Please note there’s no natural water source, we recommend being mindful of waste.
Phone reception is unreliable, so this is your chance to disconnect and enjoy the serenity of nature.
