Les mosquées et les palais appliquent un code vestimentaire très strict : les femmes doivent porter des vêtements longs et amples, et se couvrir les bras et les jambes. Elles doivent également se couvrir la tête en permanence. Pour la visite des mosquées, une longue abaya avec foulard (longue robe noire) sera fournie par le voyagiste si nécessaire, et devra être restituée. Les hommes ne doivent pas dépasser les genoux et doivent couvrir leurs épaules. À défaut, l'entrée leur sera refusée. Le voyagiste ne peut fournir aucun vêtement pour les hommes.
