3 Stops
1
Cusco
We’ll pick you up 4 a.m. from your hotel in Cusco and begin the scenic drive to Mollepata (2,900 m), arriving around 8:00 AM. Here you can stretch your legs, purchase last-minute supplies, or use the restrooms.
2
Mollepata
From Mollepata, we continue to Sayapata, the official starting point of our trek. Here, we’ll meet our team of horsemen and support staff who will load the camping gear and personal items onto pack horses and mules.
3
SORAYPAMPA
At approximately 9:00 a.m., we’ll begin our moderate trek toward Soraypampa, located at 3,850 meters (12,631 ft). Along the way, enjoy panoramic views of the snow-capped Salkantay Mountain, other glaciated peaks, and the stunning Apurimac Valley.
Around 1:00 p.m., we’ll stop for a delicious Peruvian lunch served in the heart of the Andes. After lunch, we continue hiking for approximately 3 hours to the breathtaking Humantay Lake, a turquoise glacial lake nestled beneath towering peaks.
After exploring the lake, we’ll return to our campsite in Soraypampa, where your tents will be set up and a buffet dinner will be waiting for you. Relax under the stars and prepare for the next day’s adventure.
