A1. Juyongguan Great Wall (55KM)
Juyongguan Great Wall is the number one pass in China. It is located in the 18 km long Guangou valley where the Jundu Mountain and Yan Mountain meet, which makes it the only route from Mongolia to Beijing in the old days. From the parking lot, it takes only 2 minutes to get on the actual Wall. It is more suitable for people who could not or don’t want to spend too much energy or time on reaching the actual Great Wall. Nowadays, It is much less crowded than the famous Badaling and Mutianyu Great Wall.

Mutianyu Great Wall is a beautiful section of the Wall in Huairou district of Beijing. It was built and restored in the early Ming Dynasty, on the remnants of a Wall originally built in the Qi Dynasty (550-577). It used to be much less touristy and crowded than Badaling 10 years ago. Nowadays, with increasing popularity with domestic and foreign tourists, it is almost the same crowded as Badaling. It takes almost 2-3 hours to take the chairlift up and another 1-2 hours to get on the toboggan. Plus, there is another long line for the shuttle bus up and down. Avoid going there on holidays, busy season and Mondays, or start very early.
