Labuan Bajo - Wae Rebo

Wae Rebo Village
Travelers will be picked up in the morning from their hotel in Labuan Bajo and begin the overland journey toward Denge Village, located in the southern part of Flores.
Upon arrival in Denge, travelers will prepare for a guided trek to Wae Rebo. The hike takes about 3 hours and follows forest paths and mountain trails. Along the way, travelers will walk through tropical vegetation and enjoy views of valleys and surrounding hills.
After reaching Wae Rebo Village, travelers will participate in a traditional welcoming ritual (Waelu’u ceremony) conducted by the village elders.
Travelers will then explore the village and see the traditional Mbaru Niang houses cone shaped communal houses that are central to the Manggarai way of life. The local guide will explain the village layout, architectural design, and daily activities of the community.
In the late afternoon, travelers will have free time to walk around the village, take photographs, or interact with local residents.
