Grottes de Batu
Upon arrival in Kuala Lumpur, your English-speaking guide will escort to a waiting air-conditioned minivan to begin your tour of Kuala Lumpur.
Your first stop in Kuala Lumpur will be Batu Caves. The limestone forming Batu Caves is said to be around 400 million years old. Batu Caves was founded by K. Thamboosamy Pillai, an Indian trader in 1891, as a Hindu Temple dedicated to Lord Murugan. A 42.7-metre high gold-painted statue of Lord Murugan was unveiled in January 2006, having taken 3 years to construct. It is the tallest Lord Murugan statue in the world.

Sri Ganesar Temple
Located near the massive Lord Murugan statue is the Sri Ganesar Temple, dedicated to Lord Ganesha, the Hindu deity of wisdom and remover of obstacles.
In the temple, you can see many altars of worship which house the murti of the deities.
Sometimes you can also see devotees performing the pooja, consisting of mantra chanting dedicated to Lord Ganesha asking that any obstacles be removed during their worship.
Pooja is considered a technique for fostering their spiritual growth by facilitating action (karma), devotion (bhakti), knowledge (jnana), and focus (raja), all of which are offered with humble and loving surrender to the deities.
You can also see metal lamps with clarified butter (ghee) which symbolise the victory of knowledge over ignorance.

Palais national

10 minutes drive from the National Monument is the National Mosque of Malaysia. The mosque has a capacity for 15,000 people and is situated among 13 acres of gardens. Its key features are a 73-metre-high (240 ft) minaret and a 16-pointed star concrete main roof. The umbrella, synonymous with the tropics, is featured conspicuously – the main roof is reminiscent of an open umbrella, the minaret's cap a folded one. The folded plates of the concrete main roof are a creative solution to achieving the larger spans required in the main gathering hall. Reflecting pools and fountains spread throughout the compound. Completed in 1965, the mosque is a bold and modern approach in reinforced concrete, symbolic of the aspirations of a then newly independent nation.
Note: Guests who wish to enter the mosque may do so briefly, provided it is not closed to the public (ie: outside Friday prayer times). Otherwise, guests may be respectfully requested to only take photos from the outside.
