With a maximum of six riders per tour, everyone can hear the guide’s stories about local wildlife, Alaska’s history, and the 1964 earthquake that reshaped Seward. Seward
This area of Seward, Alaska is only accessible by horseback. View bald eagles up close, see where they nest and watch them feed. It is rare that you can’t ride your horse right under the trees where they majestically perch.
We will ride through part of the old town of Seward that was destroyed by the great earthquake of 1964. You will hear the stories of the people who lived through it. Our horses will then take us to the shore of the bay where the wildflowers meet the ocean.
The birdlife of this area is very diverse, active, and up close. This Trail Ride could very well be the wilderness highlight of your trip to Seward and Alaska!

Baie de la Résurrection
On the trail, you may ride through rainforest where moose and bears roam, pass through the old town site destroyed by the quake, cross clear rivers where salmon swim between your horse’s legs, and watch bald eagles nesting, feeding, and soaring overhead. Wildflowers meet the ocean along the beach of Resurrection Bay, making for unforgettable scenery and photos.
