Mont Chimborazo
DAY 1: Quito – Riobamba – Chimborazo High Camp
We will pick you up from your hotel or preferred location at 9:00 AM and begin a scenic 3-hour drive south through the Ecuadorian Andes to Riobamba, where we will stop for lunch.
After lunch, we continue for about 1 hour to the Chimborazo Wildlife Production Reserve. There, we complete the registration process, prepare our technical equipment, and start the ascent to Chimborazo High Camp, which takes approximately 1.5 hours.
Once at High Camp, we settle in, review key safety instructions, and enjoy the incredible mountain views. Dinner is served around 5:00 PM. Afterward, we prepare our gear for the summit attempt and rest early. We wake up around 11:30 PM, drink hot tea, finish dressing, and begin the climb near midnight.

DAY 2: Chimborazo Summit Attempt – Return to Quito
Altitude: 6,268 m / 20,564 ft
The ascent begins around 12:30 AM, depending on weather and mountain conditions. With your certified mountain guide, you will begin the summit attempt, which usually takes around 6 hours.
If conditions are favorable, you may reach the summit around sunrise and enjoy breathtaking views of Chimborazo and nearby volcanoes such as Tungurahua, Cotopaxi, El Altar, Sangay, and more.
After a short time at the summit, depending on weather and safety conditions, we descend to High Camp, which usually takes around 2.5 hours. There, we have breakfast, pack our equipment, and descend for about 1 hour to the parking area, where our private transport will be waiting.
We then drive back to Quito and drop you off at your hotel or preferred location. Summit success is not guaranteed and depends on weather, mountain conditions, acclimatization, physical condition, and guide safety decisions.
