Je suis une mère Hmong de quatre enfants et j'ai vécu toute ma vie à Ta Van, Sapa. Adolescente, j'ai commencé à travailler comme guide et à organiser des randonnées en montagne et dans les rizières en terrasses. J'aime ma famille et ma communauté, et je travaille dur pour améliorer la vie de chacun d'entre nous. J'aime partager la culture Hmong locale avec mes invités. Je pratique les traditions textiles Hmong depuis plus de 15 ans. Ces dernières années, j'ai également voyagé dans des villages du nord montagneux du Vietnam pour en apprendre davantage sur les textiles traditionnels et les teintures naturelles de différents groupes ethniques. Le batik et la teinture à l'indigo Hmong sont des arts que j'aime profondément, et j'anime cet atelier car je ressens profondément le devoir de les préserver et de les partager avec le plus grand nombre.

Le cours de batik Hmong est une journée complète d'initiation à l'art de la production de chanvre, à la création de batik et à la teinture à l'indigo. Il offre un aperçu exceptionnel de la richesse de la culture Hmong dans une ambiance chaleureuse, conviviale et familiale. Chaque élève créera un motif de style Hmong en chanvre ou en coton tissé à la main, traité à la cire. En raison de contraintes de temps, il n'est pas possible de terminer la phase de teinture (si vous séjournez plusieurs jours à Sapa, cela peut être organisé). Le chanvre naturel donne une magnifique pièce finie. Les cours ont lieu dans notre atelier de Sapa. Ils commencent vers 9h00 (horaires flexibles) et durent généralement entre 5 et 6 heures. La journée comprend des informations sur la symbiologie Hmong, l'importance des textiles et l'histoire.
