L'excursion commence par une prise en charge en van à votre hôtel. Vous prendrez la direction du nord de Santiago par l'autoroute Los Libertadores. Vous découvrirez le Salto del Soldado, une légende racontant la fuite d'un soldat patriote, poursuivi par l'armée royale d'Espagne, qui aurait fait un grand saut à travers cette formation naturelle, échappant ainsi à ses poursuivants. En chemin, vous passerez par la célèbre autoroute Caracoles, connue pour ses virages.
