This incredible experience starts walking the streets of Rio Vermelho , Salvador's bohemian neighborhood, where the tradicional Festa de Iemanja takes place every year. Here, we will visit the fishermans colony and the Casa de Iemanja, to learn about the afro brazilian traditions, which so well reflects bahia's religious syncretism. Lot's of leaves used in the cambomblé to do the traditional cleanning of energies. Great chance to lear about palm oil, coconut milk, yuca flour and all kind of peppers for local cuisine. Next stop, a real community /favela to enjoy some popular street art. This place is famous for graffiti and social projects. We will end here enjoying a typical afrobaian lunch/snacks (not included) by the seaside, spectacular view and breeze from the bay!
Eat and drink before you fly: Cooking class near Salvador airport
